Jitte Kanji

New Version of Kata Performed by Sensei T. Imura JKA

This is sometimes transcribed as Jutte. The name itself may derive from the distinctive shape formed by the arrangement of the arms in the Yama-uke blocking techniques, but is commonly thought to imply that aKarate-ka proficient in this Kata has the power of ten men.

Shorin-ryuTomari-te KataJitte incorporates elements of the old Gyaku-te Waza grappling techniques, and gives practice in the defending against stick attacks.

A fairly short Kata, it should take approximately one minute to perform.
