Ferndale Welsh Shotokan Karate School has been running for just over 11years, it opened its doors in October 2000. We have seen many senseis’ and students come and go. I was one of the students there on the opening night.
I started coaching Ferndale class in September 2010 with roughly three students; we now have an average of 15 to 20 students per lesson ranging from young children age six to adults and from all walks of life.
Our Karate classes in Ferndale offer a highly beneficial activity for anyone to take up although it is an excellent form of self-defence, we learn far more than just punching and kicking. We learn valuable life skills and promote character development and increase your fitness levels. We learn to be self-confident and capable, to acquire good values and to respect others and ourselves.
I interact constantly with my students maintaining a good relationship with them and making sure that our classes are a fun learning experience.
Coming to our karate classes in Ferndale is an excellent way to make new friends as we have a very friendly environment.
