Last Summer Camp:
What an amazing time had by all.....
Friday.... everyone arrived and settled in, everyone was welcomed in the main Bar Area with a Welcome Buffet, followed by a very hard Quiz, thanks to Jason Bloodworth....
Quiz Results:
1st Place - 41 Ponits - Fantastic Fernadle
2nd Place - 38 Points - No Name Team
3rd Place - 22 Points - Craigs Team
4th Place - 18 Points - Ystrad Ladies and Stuart
There was something about some cheating!!!! but i missed that part.... It must of been the 'Fantastic Ferndale Team' as they have won 2 years on the trot now.....
Saturday.... We Kicked Off with a lovely Cooked Breakfast followed by a Team Run and some Sprints!!! I'm still suffering from that now, then 2 Hours of Karate Training outside in the lovely sunshine, by Sensei Jason, Sensei Gerwyn and Sesnei Rob....
Everyone was given a WSKO Summer Camp Keyring again thanks to Jason Bloodworth for generosity and time for doing these for us all...
Team Building Time included Games of Rounders and Rugby.....
Then it was time to chill and enjoy the lovely weather and scenery, kids playing in the stream and the adults enjoying a nice relaxing well earned drink.
Time eventually came for the - WSKO Duck Race
I didn't realise how excited you could get from watching Plastic Ducks floating down the stream!!!!!
Winners Were:
1st Place - Duck 310 - Jamie Perkins - £50
2nd Place - Duck 396 - Anglea Harries - £25
3rd Place - Duck 87 - S. Cutter (Ieuan Ystrad) - £15
4th Place - Duck 95 - Jordan Miller - £10
After the Prize money was given out... £324 was raised for the WSKO Squad Fund..... Thanks to everyone....
Saturday Evening.... BBQ & Bonfire Night...... what a Brilliant Night, Great Food, Great Company and Atmosphere, nothing else needs to be said, well apart from I need to get some practice in before Next Years Summer Camp!!!!
When the kids went to bed the adults enjoyed... by drinking the evening away, enjoying the warmth of the Bonfire, of course Sensei Gerwyn enjoyed it so much he decided to sleep there !!!!
Sunday Morning.... Once again woke to a Fab Cooked Breakfast....
Then another WSKO Training Session.... Once again outside in the Beautiful Sunshine.... by Sensei Jason, Sensei Gerwyn and Sesnei Rob....
Time to chill relax and then pack to return home.....
I would like to take this opportunity in thanking everyone who come to Summer Camp 2014 without You All... it would not be possible...
But a Very Big Thank You to 3 Very Special People..
Anglea, Annette and Gerwyn who have worked so hard to make this years Summer Camp happen.....
A collection was made from all, to show their appreciation.....
